This month the Albanese Labor Government’s further bulk billing incentives have come into effect. This is the single largest investment in Medicare since it was created over 40 years ago.

We are delivering more free GP visits by:

• expanding the bulk billing incentive to all Australians
• boosting payments to general practices that bulk bill every patient.

Our investment will deliver an additional 18 million bulk billed GP visits each year.

These changes are making a real difference for families right across the south of Canberra. More bulk billing means more people can see a doctor when they need to without worrying about the cost.
