The Monaro Highway upgrade is taking shape with the final girders now in place for the southbound flyover bridge over Lanyon Drive.

The upgrade is part of a long-term series of road improvements in the area to create improved safety, freight efficiency and faster and smoother travel.

Construction of the flyover and interchange at the Monaro Highway and Lanyon Drive intersection is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

The Monaro Highway upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian and ACT Governments through the Infrastructure Investment Program.
